Why a Restricted Character Set?
A full-strength password uses uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols — but plenty of real systems can't take all of that. Numeric keypads on doors, ATMs and safes only accept digits. Some older account systems, form fields and legacy databases reject symbols outright to avoid encoding or validation issues. In each case the fix isn't to weaken the password's length or randomness — it's to compensate with more characters from the smaller pool that's actually available. These generators do exactly that: the same crypto.getRandomValues() engine as the rest of the site, restricted to the character set your target system will accept.
